MNS President Raj Thackeray at Maharashtra rally in support of PM Modi
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) president Raj Thackeray will be addressing rallies in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has extended its ‘unconditional support’ the ruling BJP-Shiv-Sena-NCP alliance in Maharashtra and made an announcement yesterday in this regards.
Party chief Raj Thackeray also reiterated his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Gudi Padwa rally in Mumbai. He also asked party workers to begin preparations for state assembly elections due later this year.
A day after the MNS chief declared his unconditional support for the ruling Mahayuti alliance, Sanjay Shirsat, the spokesperson for the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, claimed the move would avoid the potential vote division in elections.
"There was a possibility of vote division which could have resulted in us (Mahayuti) slightly missing our target to win 45 plus seats in Maharashtra. Now, we will definitely achieve our target," Shirsat told reporters.
